Fox-IT offers a unique solution with SecuVOICE. SecuVOICE, from the German company Secusmart GmbH,  is a microSD-smartcard which fully encrypts your mobile phone conversations. SecuVOICE has been accredited for restricted information by the Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (abbreviated BSI – in English: Federal Office for Information Security) in Germany.
The SecuVOICE smartcard with integrated crypto-component (chip) encrypts your voice conversation. This prevents anyone, including telecom providers and intelligence agencies, from intercepting your private conversation. This solution will make sure your confidential information stays secret.

Simply secure

SecuVOICE is available for most Nokia phones currently on the market.  After inserting the microSD-smartcard the SecuVOICE application will automatically be installed on the phone.  When making a mobile phone call with SecuVOICE, you are ensured that nobody can listen in on your conversation and that the caller shown on your telephone has been verified* – both locally and abroad. Pressing the SecuVOICE button is enough. The telephone can still be used as a standard gsm.

High Quality

Compared to similar products on the market this solution has no negative influence on the voice quality nor on the phones battery life. Together with a minimal delay and easy to use interface a call with SecuVOICE feels like a standard gsm call.

Future

Fox-IT is working on similar solutions for other mobile platforms, such as Blackberry and Windows mobile.

*SecuVOICE only works when both callers have a SecuVOICE chip installed on  their mobile phone.
